The person behind Wedlock

Hi, I’m Seb. I’m building Wedlock.

A little about Wedlock

I’m Seb, the creator of Wedlock. I’m building an app to help couples organise their wedding. I care about getting the everyday planning details right.

Choosing a wedding planning app means trusting it with information about a day that matters to you. You should be able to find out who makes it and what they’re trying to do. That’s why I wanted to introduce myself here.

My aim for Wedlock is simple: give you a clear place to keep your plans, so tracking them takes less time. You can spend that time deciding what you want for your wedding.

What I’m building

Wedding plans change. A guest might confirm they’re coming and ask for a different meal, which affects the information you need for the table plan. Meanwhile, you might have a payment due or a seating arrangement to rethink.

Wedlock keeps those details together so you can see what needs doing. Your guest list works with RSVPs and table planning, so when you’re deciding who sits where, you’re working from the same guest information.

I want it to be useful throughout the planning, including on an evening when you only have half an hour to sort something out. Finding a guest’s details or checking what’s left to do should be straightforward.

What matters to me

For me, a useful budget shows what you plan to spend and what you’ve paid. A useful checklist helps you work out what to tackle next. Getting those jobs right is what makes an app worth using.

You should also be able to share the work and see where things stand. Wedlock lets you add collaborators, so the people helping you can see the same planning information.

Every couple has their own priorities. You decide what your day will look like; my job is to build tools that help you organise it. There needs to be room for your way of doing things.

As I develop Wedlock, I want to keep checking whether each change makes planning easier and solves a problem people have. Keeping it straightforward takes work too.

Get in touch

If you’re wondering whether Wedlock will fit your plans, or something feels confusing when you’re using it, please get in touch. Your questions and feedback help me understand where the app, or the way I explain it, needs to be clearer.

You can also start planning for free and see whether it fits the way you work.
